When I acquired and renovated my first senior care residence in 2001, I had a vision of what the future could hold, and it was different from any other facility at that time. Spring Hills would be a residence delivering the highest level of medical care and quality-of-life experience for seniors and, in doing so, earn the trust and confidence of their families. Our standard in all things was excellence, and this remains the bedrock of our 27 facilities across the United States today.

Spring Hills has grown to meet the expanding needs of seniors and now includes assisted living, memory care, home care, and post-acute care. Our team is now creating a population health model to support people with chronic conditions at every stage of their journey.

Bringing this vision to life requires the tireless work, prodigious talent, and trust of my colleagues, many of whom have been with Spring Hills since the start. Leading a team so committed to implementing new ideas to improve people’s lives and make the health care industry smarter, kinder, and better overall brings me joy every day.

In our organization, I believe it is my responsibility to create the positive energy that attracts and lifts people up. We must treat everyone — associates and the people and families we serve — with empathy, respect, and genuine appreciation. With this spirit, we can change countless lives — and the health care industry — for the better.
